The cult-classic 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' celebrated its 35th anniversary at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 28, 2010. This off-beat musical follows a newly engaged couple (Brad & Janet) in search of their former college professor. On the way, they get a flat tire and have to search for a place to stay and a phone. Instead they find refuge in a castle inhabited by transvestite Dr. Frank N. Furter and his band of Transylvanians. The film gained such a following that viewers started to participate during the movie using props and costumes. The first person to shout out obscenities during the film was kindergarten teacher, Louis Farese when he said 'buy an umbrella, you cheap b****!' in 1976 at Waverly Theater, when character Janet is walking through the rain. Avid fans have been known to see the movie hundreds of times, and recite whole scenes and songs by heart. The movie also features songs such as 'Time Warp' and 'Science Fiction/Double Feature'.
Recently, the previous record for the amount of people doing the 'Time Warp' in one place has been beat. Here is the link to the article! http://blogs.laweekly.com/informer/2010/11/glee_time_warp_record.php
Last week's Glee also payed tribute to the movie with an episode untitled 'The Rocky Horror Glee Show'. The episode gained more viewers than any other show in the second season.

DJ Kays Notes:
I for one, am ecstatic that 'Teenage Dream' & 'Dynamite are almost out of the top 10. No offense, but they were kind of overstaying their welcome, I loooovvveeed these songs in the beginning, but it gets annoying when you hear them 20 times a day on the radio. The new #1 song this week is 'Like A G6' by Far*East Movement, and I have a feeling it's hear to stay for a long time. This song is super catchy and has an awesome beat that everyone should like. The debut song this week is 'Back to December' by country superstar, Taylor Swift (who's new album, 'Speak Now', comes out today!). I haven't really listened to this song much, but I have a feeling that it is spectacular (like all of her songs). 'Bottoms Up' by Trey Songz feat Nicki Minaj, is also a track to look at for, it will be a hit!
Peace,
DJ Kay

Ke$$$$hhaaa
After the majorly successful first album, Animal, Ke$ha has decided to release a follow-up album to be named Cannibal. The first single of Ke$ha's second album, is 'We R Who We R' and is dedicated to the recent suicides of gay youth as a result of bullying. Ke$ha told Entertainment Weekly: 'I feel like I’m creating this hopefully very youthful and irreverent movement of the kids, of, like, adolescence. I feel like the parents don’t get it, but the kids get it. And they deserve to have more good, positive music. I wanted to inspire people. It’s a celebration of any sort of quirks or eccentricities.' Cannibal will be released on November 22nd!
DJ Kays Notes:
I have literally had this track on repeat since the first time I heard it. I myself, am I huge fan of Ke$ha and had the pleasure to see her perform in August. Not only does she sound amazing on her cd, she also has a great voice and a lot of charisma while performing on stage. We R Who We R hasn't been released on iTunes yet, but as soon as it does, I know it will be successful. I am personally ecstatic for Cannibal to come out, and I hope you guys are too! This song makes me wish time would go by faster & it will be November 22 soon!

I'm A Space-Bound Rocket Ship & Your Heart's The Moon...
amazing song alert!
'Space Bound' by Eminem is quite possibly one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. I can't wait to hear it on the radio, and see how far it goes up the charts. I'm actually surprised that I've never heard it on the radio, considering how many people like it so far. 'Love The Way You Lie' was also a great track, but it got overplayed, and I really don't like it as much as I used to. Eminem really hit the nail on the head when he wrote this song. Buy this track, you won't be disappointed!
